The Nets showcased balanced scoring, but the Lakers leaned heavily on Dončić, who poured in 24 points to give Los Angeles a slim two-point lead at halftime. The tight contest continued through the third quarter, with the Lakers holding just a one-point advantage entering the final period.
In the fourth, Los Angeles pulled away behind clutch shooting from Dončić and Austin Reaves. Tied at 92, the Lakers went on an 11-2 run to establish a lead they would not relinquish. Dončić and Reaves nailed key three-pointers down the stretch to seal the win.

Dončić finished with 41 points and 8 rebounds, while Reaves posted 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, including 15 points in the decisive fourth quarter. For the Nets, reserve forward Minott led the team with 18 points.
