The Minnesota Timberwolves won back-to-back games following a 125-112 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday at Target Center. Five players scored double figures for the Wolves, who improved their overall record to 12-8.
The Wolves used a fourth-quarter uprising to record the come-from-behind win. Minnesota outscored San Antonio 36-19 in the final period to turn an 89-93 deficit into a 13-point victory in the end.
Anthony Edwards led the scoring for Minnesota, dropping 32 points in 36 minutes of action. He has been on fire of late, averaging 37.2 points in his last five games. Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo also contributed, scoring 22 and 18 points, respectively.
It was a disappointing defeat for the Spurs, who continued to miss the services of star players Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle. De’Aaron Fox stepped up in their absence, scoring 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting.
It was the ninth time this season that Fox has scored at least 20 points in a game. He also had 4 assists, two rebounds, and one steal in 32 minutes of action.
