The Portland Trail Blazers pulled off an upset to defeat the Golden State Warriors, 127–123, in their 2025 NBA Cup group-stage matchup on November 22 (PH time) at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
It was a tightly contested game, but the Blazers mounted a late comeback, capped by Caleb Love scoring five consecutive points in the final minutes to seal the victory.
Avdija led Portland with a 26-point, 14-assist double-double, while Love added a career-high 26 points, along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Blazers were without two key guards, Holiday and Sharpe, both sidelined with calf strains, while the Warriors saw the return of their core trio of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler.
Despite the Warriors’ firepower, they were unable to stop Portland’s balanced attack.
Curry finished with 38 points, including a perfect second quarter of 18 points on six-for-six shooting with five 3-pointers, while Butler contributed 20 points and 8 rebounds.
With the win, Portland snapped a four-game losing skid, while the Warriors have now dropped three consecutive games.
