The San Antonio Spurs relied on their balanced attack to dispatch the Atlanta Hawks, 135-126, on Friday (PH time) at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
Down by just one with 9:17 left in the final period, 101-100, the Spurs ignited a 16-2 surge by relentlessly pushing the ball in transition to take control of the game.
De'Aaron Fox led the way with 26 points and 9 assists. Keldon Johnson added 25 points and 7 rebounds off the bench, while Julian Champagnie chipped in 20 points on 5-of-10 shooting from deep.
San Antonio continued its fine form despite the absence of star center Victor Wembanyama, who remains sidelined with a calf injury.
Meanwhile, the Hawks dropped to 9-7 despite a 38-point explosion from Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
