The Chicago Bulls snapped their five-game losing streak by stunning the Denver Nuggets, 130–127, on Tuesday (PH time) at Ball Arena in Denver.
The fourth quarter proved to be a nail-biter with Nikola Jokić hitting a three-pointer to give the Nuggets a 120–118 lead with 1:43 remaining.
Kevin Huerter responded with a three of his own while Ayo Dosunmu converted a dunk off a Nikola Vucevic deflection, putting the Bulls ahead 123–120 with 1:04 left.
Jokić answered with a go-ahead fadeaway jumper, but Vucevic drained a clutch three-pointer with 33 seconds remaining to give Chicago a 126–122 lead.
Despite late attempts from Jokić and Jamal Murray to rally Denver, Dosunmu and Huerter sealed the victory from the free-throw line, marking the Bulls’ long-awaited return to the winning column.
Josh Giddey led Chicago with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists, as Dosunmu added 21 off the bench. Huerter chipped in 20 points as the Bulls improved to 7–6.
On the other hand, Denver (10–3) had its five-game winning streak snapped at home. Jokić recorded a triple-double with 36 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists. Murray contributed 34 points.
