The Houston Rockets outlasted the Orlando Magic in overtime, securing a 117–113 victory on Monday (PH time) at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Kevin Durant came through in the clutch, first assisting Amen Thompson on a dunk before hitting a pull-up jumper that gave the Rockets a 3-point lead with 9.1 seconds remaining, 113-110.
Orlando tried to rally, but Reed Sheppard and Thompson iced the game at the free-throw line, helping Houston hold on for the 117–113 win.
Durant finished with 35 points, six assists, and five rebounds, while Alperen Şengün narrowly missed a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
The Rockets are now 9–3 in the Western Conference, having won eight of their last nine games after a 0–2 start to the season.
