The Houston Rockets outlasted the Orlando Magic in overtime, securing a 117–113 victory on Monday (PH time) at the Toyota Center in Houston.

Kevin Durant came through in the clutch, first assisting Amen Thompson on a dunk before hitting a pull-up jumper that gave the Rockets a 3-point lead with 9.1 seconds remaining, 113-110.

Orlando tried to rally, but Reed Sheppard and Thompson iced the game at the free-throw line, helping Houston hold on for the 117–113 win.

Durant finished with 35 points, six assists, and five rebounds, while Alperen Şengün narrowly missed a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.

The Rockets are now 9–3 in the Western Conference, having won eight of their last nine games after a 0–2 start to the season.

Taking control of the game and closing it out at critical moments, that's the significance of the Rockets trading for Durant!

If the ball had been given to Durant earlier, they would have won already!
