Giannis Antetokounmpo came up clutch once again, sinking a tough fadeaway jumper in the final seconds to lift the Milwaukee Bucks to a 117–115 win over the Indiana Pacers on November 4.
The Pacers hosted their divisional rivals at home, fresh off a comeback win over the Golden State Warriors, while the Bucks were looking to rebound from a narrow two-point loss to the Sacramento Kings. The matchup also marked the first meeting between Bucks center Myles Turner and his former team this season.
Indiana carried its fighting spirit from the previous game, mounting another furious fourth-quarter rally after trailing by seven through three quarters. With 47 seconds left, Pascal Siakam split his free throws to trim the deficit to one, and Bucks guard AJ Green answered by also making one of two from the line. With 14.5 seconds remaining, Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith tied the game with a layup — setting the stage for Antetokounmpo’s heroics. Despite double coverage, the Greek Freak drained a difficult fadeaway jumper to seal the win for Milwaukee.
Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 33 points and 13 rebounds, including 19 points and 8 boards in the first half alone. Kyle Kuzma added 15 points as the team’s second-leading scorer.
For Indiana, Siakam put up 32 points and 8 assists, while Isaiah Jackson delivered an impressive double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Quenton Jackson, who starred in the previous game, exited early due to injury.
Next up, the Bucks face the Toronto Raptors in a back-to-back, while the Pacers will take on the Brooklyn Nets on November 6.
