The Chicago Bulls remained unbeaten with their fifth straight victory of the 2025–26 NBA season, outlasting the New York Knicks, 135–125, to open their NBA Cup campaign on a high note Saturday morning (Manila time).
Chicago controlled most of the game at home, leading by as many as 22 points before the Knicks mounted several rallies to close the gap to just three early in the fourth quarter. Each time New York threatened, however, the Bulls responded with timely three-pointers to regain momentum.
With the lead trimmed to five and just three minutes remaining, Nikola Vučević took over, scoring seven consecutive points to restore a double-digit cushion capped by a tough and-one layup. The Knicks couldn’t recover from there as Chicago held firm down the stretch.
Josh Giddey paced the Bulls with a near triple-double, posting a career-high 32 points along with 10 rebounds and nine assists. Vučević added 26 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in the win.
Ayo Dosunmu chipped in 22 points, nine assists and four rebounds off the bench.
Chicago’s 5–0 start marks its best season opening since 1997.
For New York, Jalen Brunson led the way with 29 points, but it wasn’t enough to snap their three-game losing skid to close out their road trip.
