The Golden State Warriors dominated the visiting Los Angeles Clippers, 98–79, on Wednesday morning (Manila time).
Coming off a 131–118 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors showed no signs of fatigue despite playing back-to-back home games. The first half was tightly contested, with the Clippers holding a slim three-point advantage at the break.
However, Golden State flipped the script in the third quarter, tightening their defense and unleashing a decisive run that blew the game wide open.
Jimmy Butler led the Warriors with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Stephen Curry added 19 points, eight assists, and two rebounds. Quentin Post and Brandin Podziemski also contributed 12 points apiece in the balanced effort.
James Harden paced the Clippers with 20 points, and Kawhi Leonard added 18, but their efforts fell short as Los Angeles struggled to keep up with Golden State’s energy on both ends.
The Warriors (4–1) will look to keep their momentum going when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Meanwhile, the Clippers (2–2) will begin their NBA Cup campaign against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.
