The Denver Nuggets made short work of shorthanded Minnesota Timberwolves, 127-114, to notch their second win of the 2025-26 National Basketball Association season on Tuesday morning (Manila time).

Jamal Murray was unstoppable all night, erupting for 43 big points to lead Denver’s charge. Three-time Most Valuable Player Nikola Jokic tallied another triple-double with 25 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists, showing off his usual brilliance.

Peyton Watson provided the knockout blows in the fourth quarter, burying a wide-open three at the 7:31 mark to stretch the lead to 111-101.

Moments later, he further deflated the already restless home crowd by draining another triple from the same spot. The 23-year-old guard finished with 12 crucial points off the bench.

Playing without their superstar Anthony Edwards, who is expected to miss at least a week due to a hamstring injury, the Timberwolves struggled to keep pace. Jaden McDaniels and Julius Randle tried to fill the void with 25 and 24 points, respectively, but their efforts fell short.

Now 2-1, the Nuggets will look to keep rolling when they host the New Orleans Pelicans on October 30. Meanwhile, the Wolves will try to return to the win column against the Los Angeles Lakers on the same day.
