Spurs tame Raptors, stay perfect

The San Antonio Spurs continued their perfect start to the 2025-26 National Basketball Association season, dominating the Toronto Raptors, 121-103, Tuesday morning (Manila time) at the Frost Bank Center.
The Spurs pulled away early, building a 41-29 lead heading into the second quarter. They kept their foot on the gas pedal, extending the margin and zapping the fight out of the visiting Raptors.
Unlike in their previous outing, the young Spurs maintained control and protected their advantage, never allowing Toronto to threaten a comeback.
Victor Wembanyama once again led the charge with a monster double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds while sophomore guard Stephon Castle added 22 points in another strong showing. Veteran Harrison Barnes chipped in 11.
It was a balanced effort for San Antonio, with six players finishing in double figures as the team improved to 4-0.
The Spurs will look to keep their unbeaten streak alive when they face the Miami Heat on October 31. Meanwhile, the Raptors will return home to host the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
