

Juan Gomez de Liaño had a double-double this time as Converge routed Phoenix, 128-114, last Saturday in the PBA 50th Season Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center-Antipolo.
The Converge rookie had 19 points and 12 assists, just three days after he registered his second triple-double of his young PBA career with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists against Terrafirma.
With the performance of Gomez de Liaño, Converge improved to 3-1 and joined Magnolia and TNT at first place in the team standings.
Alec Stockton topscored again for Converge with 22 points, and Justin Arana added 17 points and seven rebounds. Schonny Winston also had 17 markers for the FiberXers.
Phoenix’s win-loss record slipped to 1-3.
Jason Perkins finished with 27 points and Ricci Rivero had 23 points for the Fuelmasters.
Converge’s next game will be on November 2 when it clashes with San Miguel at the Ynares Center-Antipolo, while Phoenix’s upcoming match will be against Magnolia on October 31 also at the Ynares Center-Antipolo.
