VJ Edgecombe went on a solo 5-0 run late in the second quarter to hand the Sixers the halftime lead despite Philadelphia missing the services of star center Joel Embiid due to multiple injuries.

Tyrese Maxey stepped up in his absence, scoring a game-high 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting. Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr. also contributed, dropping 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Jalen Brunson powered New York's offense with a team-high 16 points. OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the Knicks, who hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
