Magnolia mentor LA Tenorio said they formulated an effective strategy in the Hotshots' 106-94 victory against powerhouse TNT last Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Tenorio revealed that the key to outlasting Tropang 5G is throwing their defense on the TNT locals instead of focusing on Bol Bol. The 7'3 baller finished with a game-high 53 points.
"It's still lacking, we want him [Bol] to score 80 points," said Tenorio at a post-game press conference.

He said that while Bol presented tremendous advantage for TNT, it's still the squad's local players that made them a championship-caliber team that sow fear on any opponent.
"I have so much respect on their locals. Ever since I've been playing against them, it's been their locals who's really giving other teams problems," said Tenorio, who last suited for Barangay Ginebra as a player.
Tenorio admitted that Magnolia does not have the height or numbers to contain the South Sudanese-American cager.
"So we decided to just let him do his thing, and we focused on the locals."
