James Harden made a strong return in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 106-102 win over the Brooklyn Nets, delivering an all-around performance while climbing the NBA record books.
Harden logged 36 minutes, shooting 5-of-9 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range, while going 8-of-12 at the free-throw line. He finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the hard-fought victory.
With his eight made free throws, Harden raised his career total to 8,535, surpassing Moses Malone (8,531) to move into third place on the NBA’s all-time free throws made list.
LeBron James currently ranks second with 8,810, while Karl Malone holds the all-time record at 9,787.
