Joel Embiid entered the record books on Thursday (PH time), becoming the seventh player in franchise history to score 13,000 points as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. He accomplished the feat during the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The former NBA MVP reached the scoring milestone with 9:41 remaining in the first quarter, knocking down a 3-pointer from the top of the key to give Philadelphia a 10-9 lead.
The other players to hit that point plateau in a Philadelphia uniform are Allen Iverson, Hal Greer, Dolph Schayes, Charles Barkley, Julius Erving, and Billy Cunningham. It took Embiid 472 games to reach the 13,000-point mark in the NBA.
