The Spurs finished the contest on a 16-6 run to turn an 84-89 deficit into a five-point win in the end. Keldon Johnson scored seven points during that stretch, including a triple with 2:15 left that gave San Antonio a 93-91 lead.
Victor Wembanyama sealed the win for the Spurs, knocking down a clutch midrange jumper with 19.1 seconds left to give San Antonio a 99-95 lead. Julian Champagnie then ended the Celtics’ hopes of a late-game rally, blocking Derrick White’s 3-point attempt on the other end for a key defensive stop.
